El nombre de Interior 2.1 hace referencia a dos cosas: por un lado se refiere a un espacio que ocupa un lugar dentro de algo más grande, por el otro, es similar a un sistema de apartados textuales a manera de subtítulo.
La naturaleza del 2.1 es parasitaria. En un principio se origina dentro de otro espacio independiente –ahora desaparecido- ubicado en el interior 2 de la calle Pedro Moreno en la Colonia Americana en la ciudad de Guadalajara. En abril de 2015, durante una crisis, la iniciativa fue desplazada, primero se ubicó en Rayón 906 y actualmente se encuentra en Industria (del amor) 465. Aunque ha perdido congruencia con lo que fue por unos meses el eslogan del proyecto: “El único espacio independiente adentro de otro espacio independiente”, no ha perdido su naturaleza distintiva, primero parasitando la casa de un señor de más de 70 años, que rentaba un par de habitaciones y un bonito jardín, ahora parasita una casa en la colonia la Perla, frente a las que fueran las mejores flautas de Guadalajara (con chile o sin chile) Don Ramis †, donde se realizan casi siempre exposiciones y casi siempre de artistas jóvenes y con propuestas similares a los que pagan la renta del lugar.
El proyecto no cuenta con un horario ni con un programa* de exposiciones establecido pero si ves la ventana abierta o alguna luz del lugar encendida es muy probable que alguien ahí pueda platicarte más a fondo de lo que se hace y de que es Interior 2.1. En resumen, interior 2.1 mantiene un carácter permanentemente abierto a propuestas y colaboraciones que pueden derivar o no en una exposición o proyecto de arte contemporáneo.
*La única actividad que se mantiene constante son los miércoles de dibujo y música romántica.

The name of Interior 2.1 refers to two things: on the one hand it refers to a space that occupies a place within something larger, on the other, it is similar to a system of textual sections as a subtitle.
The nature of the 2.1 is parasitic. Initially, it originated within another independent space -now disappeared- located inside 2 of Pedro Moreno street in the Colonia Americana in the city of Guadalajara. In April 2015, during a crisis, the initiative was displaced, it was first located in Rayon 906 and is currently located in Industria (del amor) 465. Although it has lost congruence with what was for a few months the slogan of the project: "The the only independent space inside another independent space”, has not lost its distinctive nature, first parasitizing the house of a man over 70 years old, who rented a couple of rooms and a nice garden, now parasitizing a house in the La Perla neighborhood , in front of the best flutes in Guadalajara (with chili or without chili) Don Ramis, where exhibitions are almost always held and almost always by young artists and with similar proposals to those who pay the rent of the place.
The project does not have an established schedule or program* for exhibitions, but if you see the window open or a light in the place on, it is very likely that someone there can tell you more about what is being done and what Interior 2.1 is. In short, interior 2.1 is permanently open to proposals and collaborations that may or may not lead to an exhibition of contemporary art projects.
*The only activity that remains constant is drawing and romantic music on Wednesdays.
