Joaquín Seguí
Estudió diseño gráfico y ciencias económicas en la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), haciendo de la interacción entre los conocimientos de ambas disciplinas el punto de partida para generar el marco que fundamenta la búsqueda dentro de su obra. Su trabajo indaga sobre la necesidad antropocéntrica de convertir en información comprensible los datos arrojados por la realidad que nos rodea. Utilizando las mismas herramientas proporcionadas tanto por la estadística como por la infografía, culmina su proceso reinterpretando estos datos a través de un lenguaje distinto al que acostumbramos utilizar para la comprensión de información, con el fin de demostrar que la relevancia de los datos no está atada únicamente a nuestra necesidad de entender, sino también a nuestra capacidad de interpretar.
Studied graphic design and economic sciences at the National University of Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), making the interaction between the knowledge of both disciplines the starting point to generate the framework that bases the search within his work. His work investigates the anthropocentric need to convert the data provided by the reality that surrounds us into understandable information. Using the same tools provided by both statistics and infographics, he completes its process by reinterpreting these data through a different language than the one we usually use to understand information, in order to demonstrate that the relevance of the data is not tied only to our need to understand, but also to our ability to interpret.
