Paola Jasso
Curadora, investigadora y gestora cultural originaria de Morelia, Michoacán. Licenciada en Historia por la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, actualmente está por concluir un posgrado en Historia del Arte en la ENES, Unidad Morelia, UNAM, especializándose en Arte Contemporáneo. Su experiencia como curadora se ha extendido a instituciones y galerías tanto nacionales como internacionales, así como a espacios independientes. Destaca su profundo interés en elaborar e integrar narrativas que suelen estar subrepresentadas en el discurso hegemónico de la historia del arte y el sistema artístico. Sus investigaciones y proyectos curatoriales han abordado temas diversos, como la memoria, el territorio, la fragilidad, los límites de la representación, el lenguaje y el género. Además, se enfoca en promover colaboraciones artísticas horizontales y respetuosas con diversas comunidades.
Curator, researcher and cultural agent originally from Morelia, Michoacan. Graduated in History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), she is currently finishing a postgraduate degree in Art History at the National School of Higher Studies, Morelia Unit, UNAM, specializing in Contemporary Art. Her experience as a curator has spanned across national and international institutions and galleries, as well as independent spaces. Known for her deep interest in developing and integrating narratives that are often underrepresented in the hegemonic discourse of art history and the art system. Her research and curatorial projects have addressed various topics such as memory, territory, fragility, the boundaries of representation, language, and gender. Additionally, she focuses on promoting horizontal and respectful artistic collaborations with diverse communities.
